REVISED AMUSEMENT TAX ORDINANCE APPROVED by the Board of Supervisors at its June 11, 2024 General Meeting. This is the updated version of Ord 2019-1 “Imposing an Amusement Tax on the Price of Admission to each and Every Amusement in the Township of Juniata…” The new ordinance was presented at a Public Hearing on May 14, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. at the Juniata Township Municiple Building. All provisions of the new ordinance will go into effect on January 1, 2025. Permits issued in 2024 to existing and new permit applications will require no annual renewal in 2025 and are issued for the life of the permit holder’s ownership of the venue. All Campground and Boat/Camper Storage facilities are required to obtain a permit, collect and remit a 5% Amusement Tax to Juniata Township. (Failure to comply with Ord 2024-1 may result in a fine of not more than $600.00 plus all court costs, including reasonable attorney’s fees incurred by the Township in the enforcement of the ordinance. Each day a violation exists shall constitute a separate offence.)
