ALERTS!

Be Aware!

Current/Ongoing/Future Project Updates:

HB 1424 has passed to the PA Senate Committee and it’s “Not good for small municipalities”.

If passed into law by the PA Legislature, HB 1424 will be a threat to the financial stability of small municipalities like Juniata, Penn, Clay and others that depend on an Amusement Tax Ordinance to raise funds that maintain and improve their infrastructure. (Go to the “For the Future” tab of this web site to learn about the impact the passage of HB 1424 will have on our collection of the Amusement Tax. See also the letter sent to PA Senator Judy Ward and the 14 members of the Senate Committee who will move HB 1424 to a Senate vote.

BE HEARD! CONTACT YOUR SENATOR! Tell them to “Defeat HB 1424!”

5/21/2025 – Crestwood Estates – Anticipate updates to roadway beginning 5/21/2025. The first phase will be to improve drainage of runoff with the installation of drain tiles at key locations. Phase 2 of this project will be to improve road surfaces at a later date. This is an ongoing project as funds become available.

4/8/2025 – Planning has started on this project. Actual groundwork may not occur until 2026.

Get on the Agenda! Please!

Please contact the Township Secretary no later than the Friday before each monthly meeting if you have a request that will require action by the Board of Supervisors. Failing to be on the agenda means that necessary resources may not be available to discuss your request. (for example, Attorney, Engineer, Sewage and Code Enforcement) Not being on the meeting agenda will delay action by the Board of Supervisors until the next public meeting (30 days).

BUILDING PERMITS are required in Juniata Township
